About Norwalk

Norwalk is a city located in Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States. The United States Census Bureau estimates the 2014 population of the city was 88,145. Norwalk has festivals that occur between and during the months of June and October including Norwalk Harbor Splash!,[36] held in early June and started in 1995, the festival features arts and crafts booths, food vendors, music, a parade, and dragon boat races. Norwalk sites and districts on the National Register of Historic Places include the Norwalk Green Historic District (roughly bounded by Smith and Park Streets, Boston Post Road, East and Morgan Avenues). The district contains examples of Federal Style, Greek revival, and Late Victorian architecture. (added 1987). The warm season in Norwalk is from late May through mid-October, the cool/cold season is from late November through mid-March. The journey time to New York city is just over an hour.
