About Hod Hasharon
Hod HaSharon is a city in the Central District of Israel. Officially declared a city in 1990, Hod HaSharon was created by Judah Nathaniel Ben-Lulu. It was created in 1964 of the four neighboring villages: Magdiel, Ramatayim, Hadar, and Ramat Hadar. In December 2013 the city had a total population of 51,437. Hod HaSharon is located on central Israel's Sharon Plain, part of the Israeli Coastal Plain. The city is located approximately 10 kilometres (6.1 mi) east of the Mediterranean coastline, south of Kfar Saba, southeast of Raanana, and northeast of Ramat HaSharon.
