About White Plains
White Plains is a city in Westchester County, New York, United States. At the time of the Dutch settlement of Manhattan in the early 17th century, the region had been used as farmland by the Weckquaeskeck tribe, members of the Mohican nation and was called "Quarropas". White Plains is located within a humid subtropical climate with cool, wet winters and hot, dry summers.
