The incredible Juan was our guide, and in a matter of 2-hours we toured the old Jewish Call (quarter), engaged in meaningful conversation about Jewish, Converso and Xueta history, and concluded that this story is one that needs to be more widely shared among Jews and non-Jews alike.

A fascinating Jewish story
Having visited Palma many times, we had never explored the Jewish Quarter which is a hidden gem of Palma. We were so glad we contacted Juan as his own back story is amazing and inspiring.
This, together with the incredible history of the Mallorcan Jews and their ongoing battle for survival, made it all the more fascinating and humbling.
We would never have discovered the streets of the old Jewish Quarter - thank you Juan for a brilliant couple of hours in one of our favorite cities.

Great mixture of topics
Tomas was a great tour guide!! He was able to put together a mixture of architecture and history explanations of the areas we visited. He also covered Jewish Majorca. The tour was 2 hours and we learned a lot in that brief time.

Worth it!!
I took my students on the tour and, I must say that, if you love history, or you simply want to enjoy learning something new; this is a really good tour to introduce you, your children and your friends into a part of the Jewish History of Majorca. Our guide, Juan, was very patient, explained everything in detail. He was also a member of the Jewish community so, he knew what he was talking about. I really recommend it, if you have the chance. It's not an expensive tour and it's worth the time. Thanks for the experience!

One-Of-A-Kind
Dani gave my two friends and I a combination food and Jewish History tour in Palma today and it was honestly the best tour either 3 of us have ever been on. Not only is Dani an expert on the subject matter, sharing his incredible knowledge, but it’s also so incredible and poetic that Dani not only gives tours on the fascinating and complex Jewish and Chueta History of Majorca but that he is also actively living out the rest of the story, as he continues to help build a Jewish community in Majorca. Could not recommend Dani’s tour enough and feel fortunate to now be able to call Dani a friend after today.

The history of the Jewish population of Palma is not a happy one - centuries of abuse, torture, enforced conversion and execution! But it’s a story people should know about and the tour brings those times vividly to life. Highly recommended.
