Shavuot, one of the three major Jewish pilgrimage festivals (alongside Passover and Sukkot), marks the giving of the Torah at Mount Sinai. Celebrated on the sixth of Sivan, it comes at the end of the 49-day Omer count that begins on Passover. The word "Shavuot" means "weeks," and the holiday is rich in tradition—many stay up all night learning Torah, and it's customary to enjoy dairy meals.
In 2025, Shavuot begins on Sunday night, June 1, and ends on Tuesday night, June 3 (Monday night, June 2 in Israel). With its springtime timing and spiritual significance, it’s a beautiful moment to recharge—both spiritually and physically. Whether you're planning a quick weekend getaway or a full holiday retreat, Shavuot is the perfect excuse to take a break and let someone else handle the cooking.
There are Shavuot programs for 2025:
