DAY 1
MONDAY SEPT 5
LISBON
Overnight: 5 ★ Lisbon Hotel
Welcome to Lisbon, the Capital city of Portugal. We will be Starting our day with a great walking tour of the Jewish heritage sites, and strolling in the streets of the Chiado neighbourhood, Visiting the Shaare Tikvah Synagogue, and plaza Comercial, in the afternoon we will enjoy some free time in the shopping district of the city.
We will check in our 5* hotel, before a gala welcome dinner.

DAY 2
TUESDAY SEPT 6
SINTRA AND LISBON
Overnight: 5 ★ Lisbon Hotel
After breakfast a short drive will bring us to the town of Sintra, a beautiful and Romantic town,you will explore the city centre and visit the amazing Palacio de la Pena. After lunch we will make our way to Cascais, we will visit the city centre of the village and enjoy this luxurious cosmopolitan port village.
Before returning to our hotel we will visit the Belem district with its famous monuments. Dinner in our hotel
DAY 3
WEDNESDAY SEPT 7
OBIDOS, COIMBRA AND ARRIVING EVENING TO PORTO
Overnight: 5 ★ Porto Hotel
You will start the day with a short visit to the beautiful Village of Obidos, where you will have time to explore the city centre and ancient walls surrounding the town, feel the amazing atmosphere in Obidos, then we will continue to Coimbra. Coimbra the University city, with its famous Library – that is considered one of the nicest libraries in the world, We will learn about the Jewish connection to this city. We will stroll down the narrow alleys of the city, and visit and hear the story of the old Mikveh accidentally found in the city centre. Before heading to Porto where we will be staying the next 4 nights.
DAY 4
THURSDAY SEPT 8
THE NORTHERN COAST OF PORTUGAL
Overnight: 5 ★ Porto Hotel
Today we will visit the Peneda-Gerês National Park, we will visit this paradise park and enjoy some activities, after our picnic lunch we will visit the charming Valença do Minho, dominated by a fortress of two towers and a double great wall projected in the Vauban style, in Portugal.

FRIDAY SEPT 9
FULL DAY PORTO
Overnight: 5 ★ Porto Hotel
Porto is a fascinating city, Today we will start with the Jewish heritage of porto, we will visit the museum and the old jewish Quarter, Then visit the centre of town and will have some free time to enjoy a nice cup of coffee or shopping or even another visit to the the river banks to see the beautiful and colourful city.

SHABBAT SEPT 10
PORTO
Overnight: 5 ★ Porto Hotel
Relaxing day in our Hotel, Morning Tefila in Synagogue, Kiddush and Seuda at the hotel. Afternoon walking tour Optional, After havdalah and dinner we will go to a Fado Show in Town.
DAY 7
SUNDAY SEPT 11
DUERO VALLEY, BELMONTE
Overnight:– Belmonte
This morning after breakfast we will check out of our hotel and start driving towards the eastern border of Portugal. We will drive through and enjoy the fascinating views of the Douro River on our way to Belmonte. In this mountain village situated in the north of Portugal, we will find the last remaining community of conversos, also known as Belmonte Jews. They have been secretly practising their faith for over five hundred years, until their discovery in 1917. During the tour, we will get to meet some of the members of the Jewish community and visit the synagogue, as well as the Jewish Museum. Afternoon we will enjoy our beautiful hotel and Sunset, before Dinner.
DAY 8
MONDAY SEPT 12
AVILA AND MADRID
Overnight: 5 ★ Madrid Hotel
After breakfast we will check out and begin our journey to the magical town of Ávila in Spain, known for its majestic Medieval walls that surround the town. We will visit the remains of the Jewish cemetery that was discovered only a few years ago. After this important visit we will start our drive to Madrid (1.5 hr) – Spain’s majestic Capital since 1561. Arriving at the Busy Capital is always fun. We will have a panoramic tour of the city before exploring by foot the centre of town, we will visit and learn about the important monuments, before driving to our Hotel, which is in one of the most Aristocratic neighbourhoods in Madrid.

DAY 9
TUESDAY SEPT 13
TOLEDO AND MADRID
Overnight: 5 ★ Madrid Hotel
This morning we will drive 45 minutes to the magical city of Toledo – “Jerusalem of the West”, one of the main centres of Sephardic Jewry in the Middle Ages and described as an open-air museum of Spanish history. Our walking tour will concentrate on sightseeing around the old Juderia. See El-Greco’s house which used to be the home of Don Shmuel Halevy Abulafia (14th century), the king’s Pedro el-Cruel wealthy treasurer. We will also visit the two ancient synagogues, today a museum: El-Transito and Shmuel Halevy’s Mudejar synagogue (1356) considered to be the best-preserved Jewish monument of the pre-Inquisition period.
Afternoon we will drive back to Madrid and enjoy a fascinating guided tour of the Prado Museum.

DAY 10
WEDNESDAY SEPT 13
HOT AIR BALLOON OVER SEGOVIA, SEGOVIA AND MADRID
Overnight: 5 ★ Madrid Hotel
Today we will have an early rise, as we have to arrive and catch our Hot Air Balloon ride over Segovia. Following our exciting ride , we will have a picnic Breakfast and continue to visit this magical city. Segovia is a World Heritage City, with unique sights: the Aquaduct, the old Jewish quarter, grand mansions, outstanding views and a green belt which is ideal for a pleasant stroll in the sunshine. We will have a guided tour before going back to Madrid, our last afternoon in the capital, will have some free time for Shopping, visit the Retiro park or visit any other of the amazing museums the city has to offer.

DAY 11
TUESDAY SEPT 14
Madrid – Time to say goodbye
After breakfast, you will transfer to Madrid airport, according to your flight schedule.
