Poas Volcano:

Arenal Volcano:
The Arenal volcano is located in the district of La Fortuna, canton of San Carlos, in the province of Alajuela. It has a height of 1670 meters above sea level. The volcano is located within the Arenal Volcano National Park.
Peace Falls:
La Paz waterfall is a waterfall in central Costa Rica. It is located 31 kilometers north of Alajuela, in the district of Sarapiquí in the central canton of the province of Alajuela and is located between Vara Blanca and Cinchona.
Sarapiqui:
Sarapiquí is the largest canton in Heredia, owning more than 80% of the total province. It is known for its rich biodiversity and for being an adventure sports destination.
Sarapiquí is surrounded by the Central Volcanic Mountain Range Forest Reserve, the Barra Colorado National Wildlife Reserve and the Braulio Carrillo National Park.
This canton is sought after for its amazing and rich biodiversity and for being a destination for true adventurers. In addition, it has a rich history, since it was inhabited by the Botos Indians and was used by the American William Walker when he invaded Costa Rica in 1856 in the National Campaign.
Braulio Carrillo:
The Braulio Carrillo National Park is a national park located in Costa Rica, 38 km from the capital city, San José. It is located in the Central Volcanic Mountain Range, northeast of the Central Valley, and includes the Barva Volcano, the Cacho Negro Volcano and the Bajo de la Hondura. It has territory in four provinces of Costa Rica: San José, Heredia, Cartago and Limón. This wilderness area, together with the Poás Volcano National Park, the Irazú Volcano National Park, the Turrialba Volcano National Park and other protected areas, constitute the second Biosphere Reserve of Costa Rica, which is called the Central Conservation Area, a status granted by the UNESCO in 1988.
