The Pillar is a boutique hotel and events venue occupying 2 discreet acres in the heart of North West London. The Grade II-listed building dates back to 1893 and is wrapped around a beautiful, grassy Quadrangle, modelled on the celebrated 15th Century almshouses of Ewelme, Oxfordshire. A revitalizing upgrade has elegantly escorted it into the 21st Century, successfully merging the history and charm of an old-fashioned, traditional Victorian estate with the contemporary design and style the modern guest expects. The result: the most luxurious stay in Hendon.
The Pillar has over 30 bedrooms, each with its various period features and many overlooking the garden Quadrangle at the heart of the hotel, creating a visually striking and yet tranquil experience. The Pillar also features an intimate Lounge, an upper and lower gatehouse Lodge, and several of the most impressive, pre-eminent function rooms in the area.
HOTEL ROOMS & FACILITIES
All bedrooms have been uniquely designed to blend into the ambience of this charming 19th Century building but concurrently come equipped with the latest technology from LCD screens to internet access and telephones with direct dial extensions. Bathrooms have baths or showers, large showerheads and a selection of luxury bath products.
There is no minimum stay per room during the week.
Over weekends the minimum stay is two nights.

The Pillar Events
Situated in the heart of London yet still removed from the bustle of the city, The Pillar and its impressive 2-acre Victorian estate offers the perfect, tranquil setting for a wide range of functions and events, from weddings, barmitzvahs, and family celebrations to corporate brainstorming days-out and conference presentations. These could be held in either of our two function rooms, The Windsor Suite or The Citadel, centred in the Quadrangle, or in the open air elsewhere on the spacious grounds.
The Windsor Suite
This function room has been decorated in classic-contemporary style. The room's elegantly neutral, pale silver and deep purple tones will allow you maximum scope to tailor your event theme colours in whichever way you choose. It features a built-in projector with drop-down screen and controls for presenting audio/visual inside the room, or even projecting audio around other parts of the campus.
The Windsor Suite will seat up to 130 people around banqueting tables, or up to 200 theatre-style.
The Citadel
A completely unique kind of space, The Citadel features an arch-braced, high-vaulted oak ceiling supported by timber-framed brick arcades and pillars, with coloured marble and herringbone-patterned oak floors. It sports a choir gallery that overlooks the main room, accessible via a spiral metal staircase. The Citadel opens directly onto the beautiful Quadrangle, completing the surreal, antique, and rustic Pillar experience.
Seating capacity is approximately 75 people around banqueting tables, or 120 Theatre style, with space for a further 40 chairs in the gallery.
