Craiglea is a 4 star Scottish Highlands retreat comprising three listed guest houses, sleeping 15-20 guests and an indoor leisure area with heated pool, sauna and relaxed seating to overlook the stunning scenery. Craiglea offers its guests luxury accommodation in one of the last unspoilt locations in the British Isles boasting unparalleled natural beauty and seclusion, breathtaking landscape views, pure air, centuries of history and heritage, friendly locals and privacy.
Nestled in a picturesque hillside in Latheronwheel, Caithness, Craiglea is the perfect place to escape from it all and where the only stress is to choose between the thrills of the many outdoor pursuits on offer or the tranquillity of stunning natural surroundings.
Whether renting the entire facility exclusively or just one dwelling, Craiglea can accommodate for a whole spectrum of corporate events, group bonding and team building exercises.
Guests can enjoy a range of activities including quad biking, off-road driving, mountain biking, guided walks and hikes, wildlife tours, falconry, deep sea fishing, shark fishing, gamefishing and gameshooting, whisky trails and tasting, golf and clay pigeon shooting to name a few.
Craiglea provides accommodation for 15-20 guests. Craiglea comprises of two guest houses, a cottage and an indoor leisure area with heated swimming pool which is part of the main building connected to both guest houses.
Kosher Facilities
All three Craiglea guest houses have their own well equipped kosher kitchens with modern built-in appliances (oven, microwave, bread-maker, fridge, freezer, washing machine and dryer). Craiglea guests can also enjoy the acres of gardens which offer a designated area for summer barbeques where you can make use of Craiglea's kosher deluxe gas BBQ.

Facilites
The Craiglea leisure area, fronting the development with open, uninterrupted views over the Latheron cliffs and Moray Firth is unique to the North.
Compensating for the vagaries of the Scottish Highland weather, this comprehensively appointed complex offers a heated indoor swimming pool which contributes to Craiglea's reputation that rivals exclusive North American retreats and Alpine lodges.
Each guest house has its own kitchen with modern built-in appliances and lounge with sofas, full working coal fires, high-speed wireless internet access, plasma screen and Sky TV to relax after an activity filled Scottish Highland day. Guests are free to use the acres of gardens which offer a designated area for summer barbeques.
Craiglea can be hired on a self-catering basis or, if requested, catering or personal local top ranking chef's can be provided during your stay. Craiglea also has an in-house full laundry service which also provides fresh bed linen everyday.
Craiglea also owns 3 quad-bikes, a Land Rover, boat and 150 acres of mountainous terrain with cliffs and rivers running down to the harbour.
We can also arrange a variety of activities and adventures to satisfy your party's tastes. These include: visiting local artist studios and galleries, participating in art workshops, cookery classes by the local top ranking chef's, guided walks and hikes, falconry, deep sea fishing, whisky trails and tasting and clay pigeon shooting to name a few.

Craiglea can be hired out exclusively to large parties wishing to take over the whole facility and is also available for partial hiring out for those smaller parties wishing to stay in one or two of the guest houses.
Craiglea is hired out on a self-catering basis, or, if requested, catering or personal chef's can be provided.

From Wick Airport
Wick Airport is approx 30 mins (30km) from Craiglea by car journey. One can fly from Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow airports to Wick Airport.
Road directions from the North:
Take the A99 from Wick
Continue straight onto the A9
Craiglea is on the A9, on the left hand side coming from Wick
From Inverness Airport
Inverness Airport (nearest main airport) is approx 2 hours (150km) from Craiglea by car journey with amazing views to see.
Road directions from the South:
Take the A96 from Inverness Airport to Inverness (approx. 6 miles)
Turn onto the A9 from Inverness and follow this road for approx. 80 miles.
Craiglea is on the A9, on the right hand side coming from Inverness.
Transfers are available.
Aviation
Helicopter and jet charter can be arranged through PDG Helicopters (www.pdg-helicopters.co.uk) and Highland Airways (www.highlandairways.co.uk). Helicopters seating 5 to 9 passengers, flying direct to Craiglea.
