Arrival in Johannesburg.
Monday 18 August, Victoria Falls
Morning flight to Victoria Falls. Spend the afternoon viewing the world's largest curtain of falling water from the Zimbabwe side.
Tuesday 19 August, Chobe
Enjoy a morning boat cruise safari on the mighty Chobe River, hoping for some great sightings of hippo, crocodile, elephant, and other animals.
In the late afternoon, enter the Chobe National Park by jeep for some close encounters with Chobe’s massive migrating elephant herds, and many other animals. Chobe has the largest elephant population in the world and in July/August, they migrate to the river to find relief from the harshly dry winter.
Wednesday 20 August, Chobe
Rise early and dress warm for an early morning open-jeep safari, trying to find some of Chobe's elusive lion and to see a stunning sunrise on the Chobe River banks.
In the afternoon, enjoy a sunset cruise on the river, viewing some of the massive animal herds that come to drink at the river and the best sunset you have ever seen.
Thursday 21 August, Chobe
Cross the Zambezi river by ferry into Zambia. View the Victoria Falls from the Zambian side, and cross the magnificent knife's edge bridge over the gorge, opposite the falls. Fly back to Johannesburg, and on to Cape Town, the world's most scenic city.
Fri 22 August, Cape Town
Enjoy a magnificent tour of Table Mountain. The energetic ones can attempt the climb (time-permitting), otherwise the cablecar is the easy way up.
Enjoy the breathtaking aerial views from the summit- don’t forget your
cameras! The brave ones can attempt the 110m abseil/rappelling from the summit (time-permitting). Prepare for Shabbos
Sat 23 August, Cape Town
Enjoy a lovely Shabbos with the warm Jewish communities of Cape Town. Have a guided tour of some of the diverse shuls in the neighbourhood.
Sun 24 August, Cape Town
Enjoy a scenic drive around the Cape Peninsula to Cape Point, the meeting place of two oceans, and the famous Cape of Good Hope. Visit the Penguin colony and take a boat cruise out to Seal island.
Mon 25 August, Lowveld and Kruger National Park
Depart Cape Town for your flight to Nelspruit and the Lowveld, the gateway to the world-famous Kruger National Park. Drive from Nelspruit to the
Kruger Park, and after lunch, enjoy a late afternoon/sunset safari
searching for the Big 5.
Tue 26 August, Kruger National Park
Enjoy a full day in the Kruger National park looking for the animals you
have not seen, and more of those that you have seen.
27 Wed August, Blyde River Canyon
Travel up the magnificent Kowyn’s Pass, to tour the scenic panaroma route.
Visit the magnificent Bourkes luck potholes, G-d’s window, and the
unbeatable view of the 3 Rondawels and the Blyde River Canyon, the third largest canyon and largest green canyon in the world! Hiking enthusiasts can spend a few hours hiking in the canyon.
Thu 28 August, Lowveld
Enjoy an exciting quad-bike trail in the hills and down to the River, or
white-water rafting on the River, or another early morning safari in the
Kruger National Park Afternoon transfer back to Johannesburg on time for overnight flights with stop at scenic waterfall on the way.
