In Cape Town, frolic with whales, penguins, and seals at natural reserves, and enjoy Cape Town's botanical gardens, fascinating architecture, historic sites, and exciting night life. Spend your last days on South Africa's east coast in an exclusive bush lodge situated on the banks of the greater St. Lucia wetland park, recently declared a world heritage site.

Days 1-3:

Our adventure begins in Zimbabwe with a guided tour of Victoria Falls, one of Africa's most breathtaking spectacles. Experience the local way of life with a visit to the crafts markets as artisans carve wood and stone and tribal dances are performed. In the evening enjoy a sundowner cruise on the Zambezi River. Optional adventures include canoe safaris, white water rafting and Chobe National Park safari (transfer into Botswana for game viewing at Chobe National Park, rich with lion, giraffe, zebra and buffalo, but legendary for great herds of elephant lumbering through the bush to the Chobe River).

Days 4-8:

Your tour of the Cape Town & Garden Route region will include a trip to Hout Bay and the Cape Of Good Hope Nature Reserve. From Hout Bay we will take a boat ride to see Cape Fur Seals on Duiker Island and the Jackass Penguin Colony at Boulders Beach. Enjoy stunning views as we travel along the coast, taking time to visit numerous nature reserves, botanical gardens, hidden lagoons, pristine beaches, and historic sights. Hike through the Cape Of Good Hope Nature Reserve and enjoy scenic drives through the Winelands. Explore the city of Cape Town with its fascinating architecture and exciting nightlife. Optional adventures include a journey to Hemanus to observe the whales frolicking in Walker Bay, the Garden Route or a 4-wheel drive & hike through the Drakensberg Mountains, enjoying rugged scenery and spectacular deep gorges.

Days 9-11:

Safari at private game reserves. You will be introduced to wildlife and nature as you have never before experienced it. Your sightings will include lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, rhinos, antelope, zebra, buffalo, and many species of birds and small game. You will ride in open land rovers and explore on foot as game rangers and trackers show you the wonders of the bush by day and night.

Days 12-14:

Spend your last days at St. Lucia Wetlands Reserve recently named a world heritage site. The reserve contains 5 distinct eco-systems, 120 endangered species, 4 of the Big 5 (elephant, rhino, buffalo and leopard), hippos and crocodiles, large marine animals including turtles, sharks, whales and dolphins, more than 500 types of birds including flamingoes, pelicans, herons, terns, fish eagles and kingfishers, over 100 types of reptiles and 36 different species of amphibians. Exciting tours and adventures in St. Lucia and the surrounding areas include guided game drives and walks, canoe and boat safaris, beach safaris, hippo & crocodile safaris and day and night game drives.
