  • Visit Essaouira's extensive Jewish cemetery built on the ocean's edge (Essaouira was once one-third Jewish), and the synagogue of the venerated Rabbi Chaim Pinto in the mellah.

  • See the tiny synagogue of Maimonides in Cordoba. Built in 1315, the synagogue's gem-like interior is one of the most beautiful in Europe.

  • We offer an optional extension to Barcelona during which you'll visit a recently discovered medieval synagogue in the heart of Barcelona. Inside the small synagogue, you will see the remains of a 3rd century building, presumed to have been the synagogue during Roman times.

    South Africa

    Cape Town - Cape Winelands - Sabi Sands (Safari)

  • Explore Cape Town's fascinating Jewish Heritage. In the late 1930's and 1940's, when other countries were closing their doors to Jewish refugees, South Africa welcomed many Eastern European Jews and as a result there are about twenty functioning synagogues in Cape Town.

  • While touring the Cape Winelands' finest wine producing estates, visit South Africa's only Kosher wine estate. It is located on one of the oldest wine farms in South Africa (dating from 1689 and beautifully restored), situated on the slopes of Paarl Mountain.
