Kibbutz Yiron
Kibbutz Yiron invites you: To the "live pond" for the enjoyment of the entire family.
The kibbutz is situated in the Upper Galilee in close proximity to Mount Meron, surrounded by nature reserves groves and orchards.
"Live Pond" is a natural pond and a holiday resort and entertainment facilities.
A large and unique "mini zoo" which allows the independent and exiting contact with the animals, feeding and petting of the following: deer, rams, sheep, goats, lamas, snakes, ducks, swans, and other species of animals.
The pond is surrounded by lawns with picnic tables and playgrounds.
Paddle boats are available and whilst enjoying this you can also feed the ducks and look at the swamp turtles.
Pony rides.
Carriage rides pulled by harnessed donkeys.
For those who enjoy fishing: fishing for carp is available either with your personal fishing rod or one can be hired.
A small buffet/shop for light meals is available.
Walking, biking or driving can be done around the Kibbutz area.
Functions can be carried out on the lawn area of the "Live Pond". Also we can provide "fun days" for groups.
It important to know: in the park area fires are forbidden to be lit (barbecues etc) and also dogs are not permitted to enter.
The "Live Pond" is open all year round from 10:00 in the morning.
Other conveniences that the kibbutz provides:
38 guest rooms ("tranquility on the mountain"), also provide a special room for the disabled.
The "Galil Mountain Winery" which is situated in the middle of the orchards, close to the kibbutz, excels in the wine produced. Guided tours and tasting are provided.
